Prior to Broad Reach Growth, Andrew was a Senior Partner at the management consulting firm Kearney where he led the firm’s North American Strategy & Organization practice for a number of years, and worked with clients across a spectrum of industries. Andrew served on the firm’s North American Management Committee. and remains a Kearney Partner Emeritus. Andrew was also a Partner with the Jackson Hole Group where he advised clients on growth strategy, strategy execution and performance improvement initiatives.
Andrew has also held executive operating positions. As Interim-CEO of Horizon Propane during a Chapter 11 re-organization he led an operational turnaround that concluded with a sale to a strategic buyer. As President and Publisher of TechCom, Inc., Andrew led the firm’s revenue growth and margin improvement efforts and ultimately the profitable sale of the company to a strategic buyer.
Andrew currently sits on the Board of Strategen, Inc. and the Advisory Board of DeepLook, Inc. He has also serves as Senior Advisor to the Chasm Institute (Crossing the Chasm).
Andrew earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School.
Scott has spent over thirty years as an investment banker in equity capital markets, where he structured offerings and organized marketing efforts for well over one hundred companies. Capital raised ranged in deal size from $25MM to over $1billion and covered industries in healthcare, technology, energy and consumer goods.
The transactions he led included IPO’s, follow-ons, convertibles and private placements. This activity included due diligence with management and the board, vetting the business plan and growth strategy, and assuring consistency with the investor presentation and related documents. Board and management were advised as to the proper positioning, deal structure, timing, size and key issues. Marketing included regular dialogue with the full range of institutional investors concluding with complete feedback to the CEO and Board.
Scott began his career in equity capital markets with fifteen years at Smith Barney Inc., a predecessor firm to Citigroup, before moving to PaineWebber Inc. where he was Head of Equity Markets and a member of the firm’s Operating Committee as well as Co-Head of the Equity Commitments Committee, until its merger with UBS. At First Albany Capital Scott was Co-Head of the Equities Division, responsible for the firm’s research, sales and trading efforts, and also served on its Strategic Review Committee which ultimately resulted in a recapitalization of the firm and combination with Gleacher & Company.
Scott remains active in community services, including as a board member of the Friends of Special Athletes, an Area 6 branch to the Special Olympics of New Jersey.
Scott earned a Bachelor’s of Arts from Brown University and a Masters of Business
Administration from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
